teckel: Pricing
Pay only for what you use
No subscriptions. No per-seat fees. No setup charges. You buy teckel credits (tc) and spend them only when you use teckel — top up through the teckel App, and your credit never expires.
How teckel credits work
Everything teckel does is billed in teckel credits (tc). Every action has a published price, and when a session ends its total is shown on screen in pounds, so you never have to think in raw credits.
Document-processing fees are tiny. Submitting a completed form — rendering the PDF, emailing it, and pinning the tamper-evident audit trail — costs under 10 pence. A whole form from start to finish runs a little over 10 pence in processing fees.

What a typical session costs
Benedict is your practice’s compliance document assistant — an AI voice agent. A session costs the document-processing fees plus Benedict’s time on the conversation — and the conversation is the larger part. In our August 2026 measurements a complete form — opened, filled, checked and submitted — came to between £1 and £6, with most around £2.50. What that looks like in practice:

Measured in August 2026 across real form completions on our current voice model. Cost tracks how long the conversation runs, not how many questions the form has — so answering in batches (“all of them passed except number four”) costs less than answering one at a time. While a voice call is open you are paying for the time, whether you are talking, typing or thinking; by text there is no charge for time at all.
Repetitive documents don't have to be filled in by conversation. Ask Benedict once for a log's or survey's web link — he can open it in a new tab or email it to the practice — and the same link keeps working all week. In our August 2026 measurements a week of daily log entries done this way came to under £1, against about £19 by voice; a patient survey filled in by ten people on one link came to under £1, against about £26.
Topping up
You top up your teckel credit balance through the teckel App (Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase). Credit never expires, and there's no subscription or per-seat fee.
Bulk-purchase discounts
The bigger the top-up, the bigger the discount — volume discounts run from 2.5% up to 12.5% on the largest bundles, and apply automatically in the teckel App's in-app purchase screen.

Pay-as-you-go beats a per-practice licence for most practices — and you never pay for a month you did not use. A practice running more than about twenty forms a month should compare the two directly.
Cost FAQ
What if my balance runs out mid-form?
Benedict never stops mid-form for billing — your usage is drawn from your practice's balance shortly after the work is done. If you are running low, he mentions it once during a session, and you top up in the teckel App.
Can I see how I'm spending?
Yes. The teckel App shows your transaction history updated hourly.
Are there volume discounts?
Yes. Bigger top-ups earn bigger discounts — up to 12.5% on the largest bundles (see the Topping up tiers above). Final prices show in the teckel App.
