teckel was conceived at Burning Man 2018 when we were subjected to a stressful ticketing fiasco: One of our tickets, purchased in good faith, turned out to have been stolen. It was sorted out eventually, six hours later when the organizers decided to let us in without a valid ticket, but we were left with a bad taste and the lingering thought: There has to be a better way, and the blockchain will be key.
Fast-forward several years, and we are pleased to announce teckel, a suite of innovative web3 apps and services, including blockchain ticketing and much more…
Having spent the past two decades building and delivering enterprise risk solutions for banks, insurers, and financial regulators across the world, our breadth of experience in developing enterprise software has prepared us well for teckel. Our pivot from those web2 technologies to the exciting world of web3 is a natural next step in our evolution.
Yusuf Jafry
Co-Founder
Bio
With a PhD from Stanford University, an MS degree from MIT, and a BSc degree (1st class) from Glasgow University, all in aerospace engineering, Dr Yusuf Jafry worked for a decade in the space science sector specializing in flight dynamics and control for NASA and ESA missions, before co-founding Risk Integrated in 2002 to provide quantitative risk software to the global financial services sector.
Over his career, Dr Jafry has gained expertise in a wide range of programming languages and computing frameworks, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), and most recently, blockchain and related Web3 technologies. He co-founded teckel.io (and ticket3.biz) with Steven Adler to harness the Ethereum blockchain for multiple compelling use-cases so far unaddressed in the market.
In his spare time, Dr Jafry plays guitar, writes music processing software, and flies and maintains his vintage military training aircraft, having been trained to fly by the Royal Air Force whilst at Glasgow University.
Steven Adler

Bio
Steven Adler holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from Stanford University. Steven’s first career was as a thermosciences engineer working on the design of the propulsion modules on Space Station Freedom for McDonnell Douglas. Steven then pursued a career in sales, culminating in the founding of NowComp, an IBM equipment dealer. While managing NowComp, Steven also founded Sacred Chocolate, a boutique chocolate maker focused on the health and wellness market sector. Steven’s interest in the blockchain industry began in 2017 which led to the founding of ticket3.biz and teckel.io with business partner, Yusuf Jafry.
In his spare time, Steven is a novice beekeeper and enjoys spending time in nature with his family.
